Do Digital Tools Enhance or Retard Our Tasks?

Facebook,
Twitter, LinkedIn, Adobe Photoshop, YouTube, Word, PowerPoint, Skype
and Viber are good examples of modern digital tools.
Weebly
/ Wix to build free websites as subdomains or Firefox browsers like
Chrome and blogspot.com used by bloggers also fall into the category of
digital tools.
Now the question is whether all these tools help improve our work or not. Read where I was pouring some highlights.
Facebook
is an example of social media where people connect to friends and post
photos, comments and videos that your friends love.
It
becomes a game that gets how many tastes and posters comments put by
friends add to the fun of the game. Twitter is a similar type of social
media.
These means are quite for entertainment purposes. They
do little to serve their important tasks unless you try to promote a
product where you need help from friends, fans and followers of
advertising, spread the word about it and ultimately lead to
your purchase.
LinkedIn is also for social networks, but only for professionals. You
network with colleagues and acquaintances to discuss the job market and
upload your CV in the hope of finding a better job that suits you.
LinkedIn needs to connect at home, not in the workplace, where you
have to stick to your current work projects to get good high
recommendations when you are trying to move on to a new job.
Adobe Photoshop, Word and PowerPoint can be the daily job requirements for image questions, documentation and presentations. These are very useful tools that help improve their work.
Skype and Viber are digital tools to communicate with remote colleagues in another branch or with a boss outside of work. Anyway keep each other up to date on their work plans. These tools can also be used to improve communication between family, friends and relatives who live far away.
Your workplace will provide domains to set up your own web site for
the free subdomains websites provided by weebly / Wix, for example they
are only useful for those who want for personal use or self employed.
Browsers
such as Chrome or Firefox are digital tools that are very prevalent at
home or at work and vigorously used to surf the net.
We can not survive without these tools because they have become an integral part of our lives.
Blogspot.com
used by bloggers and YouTube to embed videos are useful in that they
provide information on certain aspects like a recipe for cooking, curing
acne or making beautiful hair braids and others, for example.
Example, looking into a niche or following a forthcoming book, travel and tourism and even personal development. They promote the work you do, but you should not waste your time on them during office work but rather during leisure hours.
In
short, digital tools come in various forms – some will be directly
applicable to work, some will improve their work while others are quite
for fun and entertainment.
It is up to you to make good use during good times, without getting into any setbacks or problems.
