If the roof is in an advanced state of disrepair, the insurance company may refuse to insure your home or building. When a roofing contractor conducts an inspection on the roof, they accept a fixed fee for the job. The
contractor will give the insurance company an inspection report cover
and if repairs are to be made the owner will have to do before obtaining
insurance.
